About LA First Preschool

For over 25 years, LA First Preschool has been committed to providing high-quality, accessible early childhood education. We understand and honor the diverse needs of our young learners while celebrating the rich cultural backgrounds that strengthen our community. Our program brings together children from varied experiences, fostering an environment where they learn, grow, and thrive alongside one another. Our mission is to build a strong foundation for every child across all developmental areas—physical, social, emotional, and cognitive. We currently serve children ages two to four during these critical early years, providing the nurturing support and educational excellence they need to succeed. Through evidence-based curriculum and caring educators, we prepare children not just for kindergarten, but for a lifetime of learning.

Learn more about how we track your child's growth
How We Track Your Child's Growth We use the Desired Results Developmental Profile (DRDP) to observe how your child is growing during everyday activities—playing with friends, solving problems, exploring new materials. You'll receive detailed reports showing: • Social-emotional skills and friendship-building • Thinking, problem-solving, and curiosity • Physical development and coordination • Your family's goals for your child 📋 Timeline: • First observation within 60 days of enrollment • Follow-up observations every 4–6 months • Parent conferences twice yearly 🤝 Your Voice Matters: We invite your input at conferences and use what you share about home routines to set goals together.
